Peter Reijn

Founder and Coach

Peter is a former Dutch pro-youth player and semi-pro player. At a young age, he joined the youth academy of the Belgian Premier League club K.A.A. Gent (Belgian champions 2015/2016) where he played until the age of 19. He has a Master’s in Psychology, but never stopped being involved with football. Peter is passionate about youth development, where he integrates best practices (including the Coerver method and the Cruyff vision) and social psychology notions to motivate and challenge his players to reach their full potential.

Coach Peter’s aim is to help further develop the Cayman Islands youth potential.

Matthias Mijnheer

Coach
 

Matthias Mijnheer joined 345 FC  from Dutch Premier League PEC Zwolle. He mainly coached in the U10 to U13 age group. Matthias also created his own football school known for specialised technical and movement training. Besides his coaching career, Matthias was playing as a central midfielder for Alcides at the Dutch 5th semi- professional level.

Matthias is dedicated to helping our children both on and off the field.

James Hagerty

Coach

James is joining us after working for Chelsea FC Foundation for over 13 years. Firstly, he was based at Chelsea FC’s training ground, coaching within the boys and girls’ academies, more recently he has been based in Asia as head of the Chelsea FC’s academies in Seoul, Bangkok and Singapore. James played for local grassroots football teams in the UK, growing up in the suburbs of London.

James holds a UEFA B License and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Coaching and Performance from the University of South Wales and is due to begin a Master’s Degree in Sports Business, Policy and Management with Manchester Met University. James is a passionate coach who tries to give his players the freedom to express themselves and hopes that the players enjoy playing football in this positive environment.

Yannick van der Putten

Shanice Monteith

Yannick is an experienced youth football coach. He graduated from the Master in Coaching at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Amsterdam and holds a UEFA B license. 

Coach Yannick turned his passion into a profession and has gained experience working for Dutch professional clubs like F.C. Volendam and AFC Ajax, and internationally for Houston Dutch Lions F.C. (USA) and Dutch Connections F.C. (Canada). 

Coach Yannick’s goal is to help children in the Cayman Islands in their long- term development as a footballer!

Coach     

Shanice is a current women’s National Team player for the Cayman Islands. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business from the University of West Florida, where she also became a national champion in 2012 and runners-up in 2013.

Shanice hopes to transfer her passion and knowledge about the game to the next generation of footballers on the island.
